We all want to make a lasting difference in the lives of those around us. On Sunday we learned that we need to do two things to make that happen: pray about it and talk about it. So... what next? Here are a few suggestions for your next steps - from classes to further reading to online materials and more.
For Further Thought:
A Prayer for the Week:
Memory Verse: "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."
Colossians 4:2 NIV
Colossians: We're almost done studying the book of Colossians. Let's read the book one more time this week. It's a short read, but packed with wisdom your heart needs to hear: For Further Reading (and Listening):
Just Walk Across the Room: Simple Steps Pointing People to Faith, by Bill Hybels. Drawing on fresh perspectives from the author's own experiences, as well as time-tested and practical illustrations, Just Walk Across the Room encourages and equips readers to routinely initiate spiritual conversations with those who don't know Christ.
They Like Jesus but Not the Church: Insights from Emerging Generations, by Dan Kimball Jim and Casper Go to Church: Frank Conversation about Faith, Churches, and Well-Meaning Christians, by Jim Henderson & Matt Casper |
HighPoint Fellowship Next Steps Each week "Next Steps" will try and help you move the Sunday message into application in your life. Have a suggestion to make it better? Send an email to nextsteps@hpf.org.
